  • Passport or EU ID cardValid, original and copy.

  • Employment contract or employer certificateOr a hiring declaration with the company details.
  • Social Security registrationAccepted instead of the contract at some offices.

  • Tax registration as self-employedForm 036/037 from the Agencia Tributaria.
  • RETA registrationSelf-employed Social Security scheme.

NIE, CUE and TIE are not the same

The “green NIE” is the EU Citizen Registration Certificate: it proves your residence in Spain and includes your NIE.
